Over the past 25 years, Bjørn Melhus embodied over 90 different characters in his films, videos and installations. On August 28, Melhus will personally present these characters at silent green – a journey through their backgrounds, representations and relations, accompanied by the work itself and artistic-research material: a different kind of genealogy.
In parallel, from August 13 until September 10, the neighbouring Patrick Ebensperger Gallery will show the HEADSHOTS, a portrait series of all of the characters. On the evening of August 27, the exhibition will be open to the audience.
